The Kindersley Housing Authority is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Maintenance Worker (Term position, April 1 - September 30, 2010)

JOB TITLE


Maintenance Worker (Term position, April 1 - September 30, 2010)

POSITION

As a member of the maintenance team, the Maintenance Worker ensures the highest standard of appearance, safety, security and longevity of housing authority property.  The Maintenance Worker participates in an on-call system, as a responder to after regular business hours maintenance emergency calls.

RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Building maintenance - service and repair

  • Vacancy preparation

  • Grounds maintenance

  • Maintain housing authority equipment and inventory     

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • One to three years experience in a maintenance and repair environment OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered;

  • General knowledge of the basic techniques used in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical trades;

  • Ability to repair minor defects in mechanical, building, refrigeration and grounds work equipment;

  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a firemans certificate;

  • Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a pesticide applicators license;

  • Ability to maintain good communications and effective relations with tenants, housing authority staff, contractors and suppliers;

  • Recognition of, and respect for, peoples diversity and individual differences;

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality;

  • Valid drivers license and a roadworthy vehicle;

  • Must provide own hand tools

The Prince Albert Housing Authority is currently seeking a long-term, career-minded individual to fill the full-time position of Assistant Office Services Manager.

JOB TITLE


Assistant Office Services Manager

POSITION

The primary purpose of this position is to assist housing management in the organization, control, and direction of computer data processing, financial accounting systems, and internal controls of the Prince Albert Housing Authority.  This is inclusive of overall budgetary and fiscal reporting responsibilities as may be assigned by the management team.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or Commerce, with major in accounting, combined with a minimum of 3 years experience;

  • Superior presentation, verbal and written communication skills, excellent inter-personal and team-building skills;

  • Experience working in a computerized environment and knowledge of accounting software is required;

  • Knowledge of the JDE system is a definite asset;

  • Ability to accept cross-training in all aspects of property management;

  • Participate in continuing education and management training.

The Tisdale Housing Authority is currently seeking an individual to fill the full-time position of Activity Coordinator for the senior and family tenants of the housing authority.

JOB TITLE


Activity Coordinator

POSITION

The Activity Coordinator reports directly to the Tisdale Housing Authority manager for direction and supervision.  The Activity Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and/or providing a combination of any of the following services:

  • Coordinate and assist in social, recreational, educational and wellness programs;

  • Promote participation, involvement and leadership within groups and encourage independence;

  • Liaison between the Tenant Associations, the Tisdale Housing Authority, community service agencies and providers;

  • Assist in office duties.
