 The Prince Albert Housing Authority is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Project Services Manager.  The Housing Authority, overseen by a volunteer Board of Directors, on behalf of the Saskatchewan Housing Corporation, is responsible for the delivery of government assisted housing programs and property management of 953 housing units.

JOB TITLE


Project Services Manager

POSITION

The Project Services Manager will be responsible for the overall maintenance operations and ensure the highest standard of appearance, safety, security and longevity of our "Affordable" portfolio consisting of 306 units.  The selected candidate will provide effective leadership to maintenance staff, prepare annual budgets and related tenders, monitor ongoing expenditures and maintain a comprehensive maintenance program.  This position reports directly to the General Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS


The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum Grade 12 education supplemented by a Province of Saskatchewan Journeyman's Ticket in a related trade;

  • A sound knowledge of building practices, codes and materials;

  • Previous supervisory experience will be required, as well as the ability to handle stress, good communication skills and the ability to work in a computerized environment;

  • A valid driver's license and use of your own vehicle is required.

 As a member of the maintenance team the Maintenance Technician ensures the highest standard of appearance, safety, security, and longevity of Housing Authority property.  The Maintenance Technician participates in an on-call system, as a responder to after regular business hours maintenance emergency calls.

JOB TITLE


Maintenance Technician

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

         Building Maintenance - service and repair

         Vacancy preparation

         Grounds maintenance

         Maintain Housing Authority equipment, vehicles, and inventory

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


         One to three years experience in a maintenance and repair environment.  An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered

         General knowledge of the basic techniques used in a variety of trades including carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical trades

         Ability to repair minor defects in mechanical and building equipment, refrigeration and air conditioning equipment

         Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a firemans certificate

         Must possess, or be willing to obtain, a pesticide applicators license

         Ability to maintain good communications and effective relations with tenants, Housing Authority staff, contractors, and suppliers

         Recognition of and respect for peoples diversity and individual differences

         Ability to maintain confidentiality

         Valid drivers license and use of own vehicle

         Must provide own hand tools

JOB DETAILS


Job Type: Full Time

Location:  Yorkton, SK

Annual salary range for this position is $34,302 to $38,352 as per the SGEU Collective Bargaining Agreement.  Hours of work are 8:00a.m.-5:00p.m., Monday to Friday.  On call rotation is once a month for a period of 7 days.
